Overview
Brew Rush is an arcade coffee shop game for iPhone and iPad created by Jesse Morgutia. This policy explains what information the app uses, who receives it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at any time.
Information We Collect
Brew Rush has no accounts and no sign-up, and we do not run any servers that receive data from the app. The only data the app sends is described below: your score to Apple's Game Center, and advertising-related data to Google AdMob.
Your personal best, a copy of your Game Center best, and your sound and haptics settings are saved only on your device. Google's ad software and consent tool also store identifiers and your ad consent choices on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of them.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never request your precise location.
Game Center
Brew Rush saves your best score on your device. If you are signed in to Game Center, it also sends each run's score to Apple's Game Center leaderboard, which keeps your best, and shows your global rank. Your Game Center nickname and score are visible to other players on the leaderboard.
Scores you set while offline or signed out stay on your device, and your best score is sent the next time you open Brew Rush while signed in and online. If you never sign in to Game Center, no scores are sent to it.
Game Center is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Game Center & Privacy.
Advertising
Brew Rush is free and shows a banner ad on the game-over screen. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, for analytics, and to prevent fraud and abuse, Google's software in the app may collect:
- device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it
- information about ads shown and your interactions with them
- diagnostic information about the app and ad performance
Google and its partners may use device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads based on your use of this and other apps. This information goes to Google, not to us. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies and its agreements with app developers. Google's use of it is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Tracking and Your Ad Choices
Brew Rush asks for your permission before your advertising identifier can be used to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not use that identifier. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If you are in a region where privacy law requires consent for ads or a choice about personalized ads (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or certain US states), Brew Rush shows Google's consent message before any ads load. If you decline or opt out, you may see limited or non-personalized ads. You can review or change your choice at any time in the game's Settings under Ad privacy (shown where your region requires it). The list of Google's ad technology partners is shown in that message.
Sharing Your Score
When you tap the share button on the game-over screen, Brew Rush creates an image of your score on your device. It is only sent where you choose to send it, using the standard iOS share sheet.
Analytics
Brew Rush does not include any analytics or crash-reporting software of our own. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports.
Children's Privacy
Brew Rush is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through Brew Rush (for example, by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it. Parents can turn off ad tracking on a child's device in Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Allow Apps to Request to Track.
Data Retention and Your Rights
Apart from emails you send us, we do not keep any personal information about you on our side.
- Game Center: scores are kept by Apple. You can manage your Game Center profile in iOS Settings → Game Center, and request access to or deletion of your Apple data at privacy.apple.com.
- Advertising: Google keeps advertising data according to its own retention policy. You can limit it with the ad choices above or through Google's My Ad Center.
- On your device: delete the app to remove everything stored on it.
If You Contact Us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include (such as your device model or screenshots). We use it only to reply and fix problems, keep it only as long as needed for that, and you can ask us to delete it.
US State Privacy Rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, letting Google AdMob use device identifiers to show ads based on your activity across apps may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or as "targeted advertising," under those laws. We do not sell personal information for money. You can opt out at any time:
- in the game's Settings under Ad privacy (shown in states where it's required), which lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and
- by turning off Allow Apps to Request to Track in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. You may also have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information. Because we hold none on servers, most requests are handled by Apple (Game Center) or Google (advertising); email us and we will help you direct your request. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Who is responsible: the controller for this app is Jesse Morgutia, an individual developer based in California, USA (jesse.morgutia@gmail.com). For ads, Google is an independent controller of the data it collects; see Google's Privacy Policy.
Legal bases: personalized ads and the device storage they use rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Ad privacy. Non-personalized ads, ad measurement, and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests (keeping the game free and secure). Game Center features are provided by Apple under your agreement with Apple. If you email us, we use your email to reply (legitimate interests).
Transfers: Google and Apple may process data in the United States and other countries, using safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights: you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email us to exercise any right; we will respond within one month.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. If a change materially affects how your data is used, we will ask for your consent again where required (for example, through the in-app consent message).
